Sometimes I think the half completed work is more interesting than the finished product! In working the background I tried to keep it loose and concentrate more detail into the figure. The painting turned out just as I wanted it to.

My dad always tried to get onto the fields and break the ground as early as possible to get ready for planting. Sometimes in Michigan late March is downright cold.
